Cairo International Film Critics Week
1. Eligibility
Type of work: all feature films and documentaries from all over the world will be accepted. The film must be completed within one year. Please refer to the official announcement of the current event for details.
Originality: the entries must be original works and have not been shown in any film festival, television or Internet platform (except film festival) .
Language and subtitles: English subtitles are required for films, and English dubbing or subtitles are required for non-english-speaking films.
Submission method: all entries must be submitted through the official online platform or by mail. Please refer to the official announcement of the event for the specific submission method and deadline.
Certificate of copyright: the contestant is required to provide the copyright certificate of the film to ensure the legality of the film and eligibility for the competition.
2. Selection criteria
Artistic value: the artistic expression of the film, innovation and the director's personal style.
Narrative ability: the completeness of the story, the attraction of the plot and the profundity of the characterization.
Photography and editing: film photography techniques, screen beauty and the smoothness of editing.
Sound effects and score: Sound Design, score and the film atmosphere fit the degree.
Social significance: the ideological connotation, social significance and cultural value conveyed by the film.
